Having exactly the right carton in stock for all products at all times and paying as little as possible for it. Once a year, large quantities of different cardboard boxes were procured for this purpose, which took up a lot of space in the warehouse.
Now storage space is short - it has to be cleared out. But neither price nor assurance of supply can be compromised.
